Shakti Durga Letters - Week 1 - Crystals (Part 1)
Parvarti Ma and I have just returned from Mullumbimbi where we went on a 5 day private retreat with our friends and former spiritual teachers, Raym and Chicchan Richards. Raym taught us crystal healing years ago, we were two of his early apprentices. He and Chicchan teach crystal dreaming each June at the Cooranbong Harmony Centre and November/December in Sydney.
Crystal dreaming played a big part in my awakening, and through the shamanic journey process that it facilitates I had my first experiences of Divine ecstasy. As I discovered, even one crystal dreaming can change your life. Parvarti Ma and I had 5 of them in 5 days. We also attended Chicchan’s crystal bowl evening on our last night together. The bowls facilitate a different experience again, giving rise to a meditative state which is deeply nourishing, yin, of the earth. We also visited a crystal shop, and it has rekindled my interest in crystals. If you have been to my home or a Harmony Centre you will realize that I really like crystals; they are everywhere. But it is fun
ny how things can become so familiar that we take them for granted. I have not spent time just sensing the energy of the crystals that surround me and they have faded somewhat into the familiarity of the background. Since coming home I have cleaned all my crystals and reacquainted myself with them. It has been a really enjoyable thing to do and I can sense a renewal of my fascination with them. It is astounding that such treasures literally come out of the Earth, don’t you think?
If you have some crystals, why don’t you give them a bath. That does not apply to any that have names ending in ‘ite’ such as fluorite, malachite, selenite, and so on. They go dull and white and are best given a quick wipe with a damp cloth, dried immediately and cleansed with electric violet light. After bathing them all of our crystals can be giving a good clean with electric violet light. The thing about crystals is that they retain energies. That is why they are such good tools. If we forget about them and leave them sitting there for too long, the energies they gather can get a bit stale.
Next
time you are meditating, why not intuit which crystal/s will support your
experience and hold them in your hands or place them points facing in around
your chair.
Did you know that Kim and Ashley Turner have 2 new CD’s? One is a meditative chant CD, Om Hrim Shrim Klim, and the other is a guided kundalini rotation meditation CD. The latter is designed for graduates of the Path of Ease and Grace and is an advanced meditation. They are available now at the Harmony Centres.
